Photographing people can be beautiful, but it can also be a little awkward. For example, imagine you are walking down the street and you see a group of people dancing and performing. It’s a beautiful moment and you want to capture it on camera. Is this ok though? Will the people mind you taking a photograph?
As a general rule, you should always have people’s permission before you take photographs of them. Of course, the boundaries will sometimes become a little blurred because there will be situations where people are inevitably going to be in the photograph you are taking. It’s also possible that you might want to take photographs of local life when you are on holiday. In many situations, this will be ok as people will be proud of their culture and won’t mind appearing in your photographs. In some parts of the world though, they may want you to pay them once you have taken a picture so be aware!
