A Guide to Macro Photography

Macro photography is another way of describing close-up photography. It opens up a whole new world of possibilities, allowing you to capture your subjects in an exciting and different way. It can be very beautiful, and once you know how to achieve the best results, you’ll be able to create some amazing images.

One the the best things about macro photography is that you won’t need a specific kind of lens to do it. You can use a macro lens, which will have a shorter focusing distance and a 1:1 ratio. However, you don’t need to buy a macro lens unless you want to and chances are others will work very well too. Try close-up photography with the lenses you already own and see what happens.

Macro photography lets you photograph things you wouldn’t normally think to look at, such as a leaf of a coffee cup. It is a new way to create images that have lots of visual interest. It will be more difficult to capture images that move, but this is still possible with lots of practise. Use a tripod, get as close to your subject as you possibly can and this will be an excellent starting point.
