However, you don’t need to buy a macro lens unless you want to and chances are others will work very well too. Try close-up photography with the lenses you already own and see what happens.

Macro photography lets you photograph things you wouldn’t normally think to look at, such as a leaf of a coffee cup. It is a new way to create images that have lots of visual interest.
