As you can imagine I have a number of very attractive friends on my Facebook. People I have picked up along the way; met on nights out, worked with, studied with at school or university or people you randomly meet on a day to day basis. There are some beautiful people in the world. These are the people are attractive no matter what the filter; sepia, normal, black and white – it doesn’t matter to them and their perfectly constructed faces and great skin.

What about the rest of us though? The ones with slightly wonky noses, the occasional bad hair day or the oily skin? We can’t possibly head into the world of Instagram with no filters on; we’d be crucified, laughed off the internet, never to be seen again. For us, though, we have black and white. Hide your shame in the oldest, most basic filter of them all.
